September 6, 2010 (EVANSTON, Ill..) (WLS) — Actress Vivica Fox was in the Chicago area Monday encouraging children to get their education during a back-to-school event.
Fox posed for pictures and talked with fans at the Martin Luther King Lab School in suburban Evanston during an event organized by Republican Joel Pollack, who is running for the 9th Congressional seat.
The actress shared stories about her career and offered some advice.
“I’m just here today to give you all a little love, offer a little encouragement, tell you to stay in school, be good to each other, love one another, and more importantly, lift one another up,” Fox said.
Pollack is running against Democratic Rep. Jan Schakowsky in November.
