Pollak Pledge Tour

The purpose of the tour is to ask residents what they would like me to do in my first term in Congress, beginning in January 2011. I will be visiting each community in the district, and compiling suggestions through the end of August. I will then present "Pollak's Pledge to the People," which will list my 10 highest priorities, as determined by the residents of the 9th district.

I know that the Republican Party is preparing its own agenda. But I must serve the people of my district first, not the party leaders. I believe a congressional representative must represent the district in Washington, not Washington to the district. That is why I am not waiting for my party to tell me what to stand for. Instead, I will present my pledge to party leaders as a suggestion for their platform.

The "Pollak Pledge Tour" will be a great opportunity to share ideas and concerns in an informal manner.
